Metromix Soundcheck: Julie Gribble

ATLANTA, Ga -- When you log on the Atlanta native Julie Gribble's website, the first think you'll see is the quote, "It's about the journey, not the arrival."

Friday morning Julie's journey brought her the 11Alive Midtown studio for our morning show's Metromix Soundcheck Segment. You can hear her "Traditional Americana/Country" music on the link to the right.

Julie started out acting and writing poetry, which led to her song-writing.

She's opened for John Mayer, and her music has been featured on Lifetime movie "Dive at Clauson's Pier," popular Nickelodeon shows "Zoey 101," "Drake and Josh" and their TV movie "Drake & Josh Go to Hollywood," "South of Nowhere" on Noggin, "Smallville," "CW Now," and the new movie "Housebroken" starring Danny DeVito.

She, along with Sean Bennett on drums, and vocalist Rich DeSantis on the bass, has a new CD out called "Letting Go.

CNG Stations: If They Build Them, Will You Come?

ATLANTA -- Regular? Premium? Or natural gas? At the urging of the Georgia Public Service Commission, the Atlanta Gas Light Company has come up with a proposal to open several natural gas fueling locations in the City of Atlanta within a few years.

Which comes first: the vehicle or the fuel? When it comes to a projected natural gas transportation system, it's the fuel.

"We'll begin to build that infrastructure and the customers will come" said Donna Peeples, Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer of Atlanta Gas Light Resources.

"You're confident that that's going to happen," 11Alive's Marc Pickard asked.

"Absolutely," she said. "With the tax credits available and the reduction in fuel costs, the clean, abundant supply here domestically, it's a natural."
