Local library presents Poetry Out Loud

PEACHTREE CITY, Ga. -- The Peachtree City Library will host Poetry Out Loud on Friday, January 18 at 7:30 p.m.

According to an official of the City of Peachtree City, two poets will read poems from their most recent collections. First, Susan Lilley, who received a 2009 Rita Dove Award will present. She teaches English at Trinity Preperatory School, and is an adjunct Professor at Rollins College in Winter Park, Fla.

Phillip Deaver will also share work from his recent book of poems, How Men Pray. Like Lilley, Deaver also teaches English. He is a professor and Writer in Residence at Rollins College, and teaches at Spaulding University.
