SCAD Style 2012 Kicks Off April 16 Featuring Celebrity Stylists and Fashion Designers

The Savannah College of Art and Design will host the 7th annual SCAD Style 2012, the university’s nationally recognized, signature style and design event, April 16-20, at SCAD's Atlanta, Savannah and Hong Kong locations. The series will highlight several SCAD study programs including fashion, architecture and industrial design. Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in lectures, exhibitions and film screenings from world-renowned artists, designers and industry professionals.

The SCAD Style series was created to foster relationships between SCAD students and creative professionals. Its programming furthers the university’s mission to prepare talented students for creative careers and serves as a launching point for student employment opportunities. As an added bonus, all lectures are free and open to the public.

Highlights of the series will include a lecture by Gregory Wein, style director at Surface Magazine. Wein is also a fashion stylist with a celebrity client roster that includes Jennifer Hudson, Kelly Rowland and Jake Gyllenhaal.
