Cypress Pint & Plate celebrates 100th anniversary of Girl Scouts with a fundraiser for a local troop | Business
MIDTOWN - Does beer and Girl Scout cookies sound like a good mix? Maybe or maybe not, but everyone likes supporting a good cause and Cypress Street Pint and Plate will be raising funds for local Girl Scout Troop #29359 in celebration of the 100 year anniversary of the Girl Scout organization. The monies will be used for the troop's trip to Savannah this summer to visit the "birthplace of the Girl Scouts".
Cypress Street Pint and Plate has teamed up with Rogue Brewery and local Atlanta Girl Scout Troop #29359 for a very special Beer Geek Tuesday on April 24th, 2012 beginning at 7 p.m.
In true Beer Geek style, Cypress will be pairing traditional Girl Scout favorites, including Samoas, Dosidos and the brand new Savannah Smiles, created in memory of the Girl Scouts' founder Juliette Gordon Low, with three different Rogue Brewery brews. Receive two delicious girl scout cookies with each 6 ounce pour of Rogue Dead Guy Ale, a German Maibock style beer, Rogue Double Chocolate Stout, flavored with Dutch Bittersweet Chocolate, or the Rogue Hazelnut Brown Nectar, a nutty twist to a traditional brown ale.
Proceeds from the event will help Cypress Street Pint and Plate sponsor a special trip in honor of the 100th Anniversary for Troop #29359 to Savannah, Ga. this summer.
