Title (Max 100 Charaters)
FMSA Students Collect Shoes for Soles4Souls
Students Victoria Rojas, Maxine Monroe and Brandon Morgan sort the three hundred pairs of shoes that have been collected at First Montessori School of Atlanta for Soles4Souls, a non-profit organization that collects and distributes shoes to over 125 countries. The community-wide shoe drive will run through Friday, Nov. 4, on the FMSA campus, located at 5750 Long Island Drive in Sandy Springs.
The gift of footwear is important to children and adults around the world because it can help eliminate the spreading of diseases through the foot. The donations also provide access for children who have been unable to attend school previously due to footwear requirements. First Montessori School of Atlanta is accepting donations of new or gently used shoes of all types and sizes. Make sure each pair is bound together with a rubber band or by the shoelaces. For more information about the shoe drive, contact Daisy Watson, FMSA's Director of Marketing, at (404) 252-3910 or dwatson@firstmontessori.org.Top Midtown Stories
