Robbery suspects arrested in Piedmont Park | Crime
ATLANTA -- Atlanta Police arrested two men suspected of robbing two juveniles at gunpoint in Piedmont Park Monday night.
Police first received the robbery call at around 11:45 p.m., according to Atlanta Police spokeswoman Kim Jones. They set up a canvass and quickly captured Dwight Young and Kristopher White, both 22.
Investigators also found the suspects' weapon and determined that it was a pellet gun made to look like a full-size semi-automatic 9mm pistol, Jones said.
Young and White were taken to the Fulton County Jail on armed robbery charges. Police learned that Young had a warrant from Lawrenceville Police for probation violation, according to Jones.
Nobody was injured in the robbery. Jones said a parent showed up at the park to take the two victims home.
