Atlanta Botanical Garden to open a MetroFresh

Atlanta Botanical Garden to open a MetroFresh

Every establishment has a story, but you haven't heard a story quite like actor-turned-chef Mitchell Anderson, owner of Metro Fresh, a community restaurant that offers delicious healthy, gluten-free alternatives to food on the go!

Most of us are guilty of sleeping a little later; therefore, we're running behind, so naturally it's easier to grab a sausage biscuit or a hot Krispy Kreme doughnut and a cup of coffee while on the go. However, Metro Fresh replaces the pork, sugar and caffeine with grilled chicken, granola and fresh fruits...on the go! Now you can enjoy Metro Fresh at another popular tourist site in Atlanta.

Operation REACH comes to Atlanta for MLK Day of Service

Atlanta, GA--  (submitted by ORI)

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., once said that “Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, ‘What are you doing for others?’” To honor King’s life and legacy, Operation REACH (ORI) will join in the national MLK Day of Service on Monday, January 17, 2011, by conducting various service projects across its three sites.

At all of its three locations—Atlanta, Birmingham, and New Orleans —Operation REACH’s staff, members of the Gulfsouth Youth Action Corps (GYAC) and hundreds of volunteers will organize and participate in service endeavors designed to improve the community and enhance the quality of life for others.

The Atlanta ORI team will join their efforts with the Georgia Commission for Service and Volunteerism and Hands On Atlanta for its 18th annual MLK Day of Service. This year’s celebration begins at 9 a.m. with a Run/Walk for Life and continues until 3 p.m. with projects to help feed families.
