ATLANTA -- A week ago Tuesday, new federal guidelines were implemented, which changed the procedures for obtaining or renewing a Georgia Drivers license

The result has been chaos at Department of Driver Services offices with some customers being forced to wait in line five hours or more.

11Alive News has received countless complaints from frustrated drivers wanting to know why D.D.S. wasn't better prepared to handle the onslaught. At the center of their fury, the contention that the service counters inside the offices have been understaffed. 

So Commuter Dude took their questions straight to the Commissioner of the Department of Driver Services.
