Atlanta--This has been a rough and tumble presidential campaign and we still have 8-weeks to go.

Both parties and candidates with tough rhetoric.

We've never seen anything like this right?

Not really.

1988 Atlanta, like Charlotte now, hosted the Democratic National Convention.

The words and themes are familiar. 

It was Atlanta's coming out party as a big city.

24 years later the city looks very different, but the convention, not so much.

Unlike Charlotte, there was another issue here. Actor Rob Lowe attended a Ted Turner party downtown and met two young girls he took them to a hotel and had a video camera. Hence the term, Sex, Lies and Videotape.
