Hundreds participate in Adamsville Workforce Development job fair | News
ATLANTA -- The Fulton County Workforce Development Office hosted over 500 job seekers during a four hour job fair at the office located at 3700 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive in Atlanta. Employers who participated reported receiving applications from at least 100 qualified applicants for available positions. Applicants who were not qualified for available positions will receive services to help them to identify positions appropriate for their skills and resources for upgrading their skills to meet employer needs.
The Adamsville Workforce Office is one of seven Career Centers located in north, south, downtown, northwest, and southwest Fulton along with a Youth Employment Center in Atlanta. The Centers provide services that include career advisement, weekly job readiness workshops, résumé building, skills upgrades and other services that assist citizens in their search for gainful employment. Workforce clients are required to pre-register for all workshops.
The Job Fair was the first for the office, which opened in June following the opening of the new Adamsville Regional Health Center. Workforce Development is located within the health center and is open daily from 8:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. to assist citizens seeking employment.
