Police arrest suspect in GA Tech robberies

DECATUR, Ga. -- Police have apprehended a man in connection with the robbery of a Georgia Tech student in July.

Police say they arrested 21-year-old Terrance Watley around 5 p.m. on Wednesday near the Crestview Apartments on Snapfinger Woods Drive.

Watley and Steven "Turk" Terry are accused of following students into a student housing building, pointing a gun at a student who caught them and taking the student's laptop and a cell phone.

Terry has been jailed since July 4 and was charged with burglary, armed robbery and firearm possession in connection with the crime.

Police say Watley is awaiting extradition to Fulton County and he will be charged with armed robbery and burglary.
