ATLANTA -- The man accused of carjacking an Atlanta police officer remains at large Monday morning. 

Around 3:00 Sunday morning, a man carjacked an officer on Ponce De Leon Avenue in Midtown, near the Argonne Avenue NE intersection. 

The officer said he was stopped at a traffic light when an armed man walked up to his car and showed a handgun. The suspect demanded the officer to get out of the car, then jumped in and drove away.

The patrol car was found nearby soon after. The officer was not hurt.
