I was invited to this chic 5,000-square-foot space, formerly a special events place, that has been totally renovated into a contemporary dining restaurant. Located at 955 West Marietta Street in Atlanta, do cleverly marries music and technology with delicious food.When you walk into the space, you have a choice of either being seated inside, outside on the lower or upper level or on the patio.

ATLANTA – There are tons of fun events going on this weekend, in your area. We’ve listed a few of them for you to check out with your family and friends.

Atlanta by Air, Inc. will be conducting daily aerial sightseeing tours of the Atlanta skyline and key landmarks for up to three passengers. Go see classic rock icons, WAR, at the Fiesta Atlanta: Cinco De Mayo Celebration at Centennial Olympic Park. The fifth annual festival will be a day-long festival of Latino culture, music, arts, crafts and children’s activities. Centennial Olympic Park is located at 285 International Boulevard.

Take the “From Civil War to Civil Rights Tour” this Friday at Underground Atlanta.

Local cops, Krispy Kreme raise 'dough' for Special Olympics

ATLANTA -- Krispy Kreme is once again teaming up with Georgia police officers to raise money for the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics Georgia.

Officers will take to the roofs for Georgia's ninth annual Cops on Doughnut Shops from 6 a.m. on Friday, Apr. 29 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, May 1.

They will collect donations from customers as they eat, sleep and play on the rooftops of 10 Krispy Kreme stores statewide.

"Cops and doughnut shops just naturally go together in people's minds," said Allison Kaczenski with Special Olympics Georgia. "We decided to have some fun with it and help a worthy cause.

ATLANTA, Ga. – This week, Dinners on a Dime features favorite affordable, neighborhoods eats. Every Tuesday Where U Live will choose four favorite eats in your area for you to take your family and friends for a fabulous meal, under $20.

Agave, the southwestern eatery and tequila bar in the historic Cotton Mill general store offers a two for one appetizer special for bar patrons from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. every Sunday-Thursday. This neighborhood hub boasts an impressive roster of signature items that keep the crowds coming. Menu items are moderately priced and for $20, guests can enjoy a drink and an entrée. Agave is located at 242 Boulevard Southeast in Atlanta.

Hands On Atlanta is making making volunteering yummy with it's 9th annual A Taste for Volunteering on Friday May 6, 2011 at The Foundry at Puritan Mill from 7:00-11:00pm. The event brings more than 300 metro Atlantans together to celebrate volunteerism and civic engagement. This year's theme, Latin Flavors, celebrates and raises awareness of the city's Hispanic population and expands Hands On Atlanta's partnerships with organizations that directly impact and serve this important community. A Taste for Volunteering will feature live and silent auctions, entertainment, exclusive wine and tequila tastings, gourmet food offerings and a live demonstration by Atlanta-based Chef Hector Santiago, owner of Pura Vida Tapas & Bar and former Top Chef contestant.

If you ever wanted an excuse to eat out, it would be to support the efforts of Dining Out for Life, an annual community fundraising event involving the generous support and participation of corporate sponsors, restaurant communities nationwide, dedicated community volunteers, and the thousands of citizens that will dine out on Wednesday April 27, 2011 at participating restaurants. 

The 19th Annual Dining Out for Life in Atlanta will benefit Open Hand a non-profit organization that helps to deliver over 5,400 nutritious meals daily to men, women and children who are living below the federal poverty level and strives to empower our neighbors to live healthy, independent lives.
