Dancing Goats coming to Ponce City Market

ATLANTA -- One of Decatur's favorite local shops is coming to the new Ponce City Market this month.

Dancing Goats Coffee Bar is tentatively scheduled to open Aug. 17.

"The opening of Dancing Goats' pop-up shop and our marketing center gives context to the community and a taste of what's to come for the people that Ponce City market will ultimately serve," said Michael Phillips, COO of Jamestown, the real estate investment firm that is turning Atlanta's old City Hall East into Ponce City Market.

Burgers Take A Back Seat To The Mighty BLT at JCT. Bar

Burgers Take A Back Seat To The Mighty BLT at JCT. Bar

Beginning this week, JCT. Bar is updating its Burger and Beer special to suit the season – tomato season, that is. Instead of a burger, the rooftop bar is now offering a BLT with local heirloom tomato, house smoked bacon from Gum Creek Farms, arugula, and pickled jalapeno mayo paired with a Southampton Biere de Mars for $10 every Tuesday through Thursday from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Southampton's Biere de Mars is a classic interpretation of an authentic French farmhouse-style Biere de Mars. Their version is brewed with a blend of wheat and barley malts and a generous amount of continental hops. It is cool fermented and aged to give it a clean, smooth, lager-like character – perfect for summer!

For a drink with a little more kick, diners can try RA’s Frozen Red Bull Cherry Bomb. The monthly sell-out concert series, ATL Live on the Park, returned to Midtown's Park Tavern restaurant, Tuesday, with seducing performances by Kenny Lattimore, J. Holiday and Ginette Claudette. Dimly lit, under the Tavern's tented canopy, with light rain drizzling just overhead; music lovers indulged in a night of live entertainment, food and libations.

Ginette Claudette, in Atlanta for the first time, opened the night introducing her new music to the audience. With musical influence that she credits to the church, her powerful vocals, searing rendition of Melanie Fiona's "4 AM," and an endearing style, showed the anticipant ATL crowd that she was ready to make her mark as a new artist.
