ATLANTA -- Taste of Atlanta is a annual event that bring the Atlanta community together for a 3-day food extravaganza. Over 80 Atlanta eateries gathered up in Tech Square to share local favorites with thousands of food lovers.

Throughout the weekend food lovers flocked the streets around tech square to enjoy an extensive selection of the best in food, wine, beer and cocktails – along with engaging chef demos, book author's presentations, specialty food-and-beverage tents and other family-friendly activities.

ATLANTA -- From Tuesday, September 18 through Monday, October 22, Marlow’s Tavern is offering a five-week long “Ribs & Whiskey” menu. During this time, all nine locations will serve up an assortment of saucy and savory ribs along with a variety of seasonal drinks for diners in search of fall fare.

“As the fall season rolls around, our guests look forward to our Ribs & Whiskey menu for the hearty, seasonal flavors,” says Executive Chef/Co-Founder John C. Metz, Jr. “The weather cools down and our guests crave the once-a-year taste the menu brings,” he adds.

The “Ribs & Whiskey” menu offers an assortment of sweet and tangy ribs and drinks to match, including the following:

Marlow’s Tavern recently celebrated the winners of the restaurant’s summer grilling recipe contest at a party at the new Dunwoody location on Saturday, September 8. The “Get Up in Our Grill” Recipe Contest was held during Marlow’s popular six-week “Red, White and Brew” menu feature (held June 12 through July 23) and gave local grill masters the opportunity to enter their favorite recipes for a chance to win an array of prizes.

The festivities included complimentary tastings of the six finalists’ recipes, drinks specials and an awards ceremony. Executive Chef John C. Metz, Jr.

ATLANTA -- On Monday, October 1, 2012, RA Sushi Bar Restaurant is recognizing “Nihonshu no Hi” or International “Sake Day,” an informal holiday created to celebrate the popular Japanese spirit. Nothing pairs better with sushi than sake, and in honor of this special day RA is encouraging guests to explore this lesser known spirit! Hot sake is $1 all day at the Midtown location.

International Sake Day’s origins are centered around ancient symbols and sake’s brewing season. October is represented in the ancient Chinese zodiac system, also embraced in Japan, by the old character for sake. Conveniently, the same month also represents a beginning in the sake world: the start of a new brewing season, making October 1 the perfect time to celebrate all things sake!

ATLANTA -- There’s nothing more refreshing than the cool chill in the air during the fall. That is until RA Sushi introduces the new Fall Pairing, a special featuring the fresh flavors of the kiwifruit, beginning Monday, October 1. RA Sushi wants guests to enjoy the fresh tastes of the Kiwi Scallops Sashimi plate and Kiwi Kismet cocktail priced at $18.

A light sashimi plate that’s full on flavor, the Kiwi Scallops dish features sliced premium Hokkaido Scallops layered with freshly-sliced kiwi fruit, served with peppery arugula tossed in a citrus dressing with sautéed cashews, garnished with an orange tobiko vinaigrette. The Kiwi Kismet is bursting with exotic flavor. It’s a mix of freshly-muddled kiwi, Kai Lemongrass Vodka, sweet sparkling sake and fresh lime and pineapple juices.

ATLANTA -- W Atlanta – Midtown is goin’ country on Sunday, September 16 and airing an exclusive sneak peek of ABC’s hot new show – Nashville – before it premieres in October. So grab your favorite Western-chic garb and head to the Living Room at W Atlanta – Midtown from  6 – 8 pm to enjoy seasonal cocktails and a special menu prepared by Spice Market’s Chef Shean Suter on the grill outside. The show will begin at 7:30 pm, displayed on multiple screens and projected on the wall in Living Room. ABC has sent over some special swag for the occasion as well. There will also be tickets to Kicks 101.5’s Country Fair  with Alan Jackson up for grabs.

Participating restaurants will offer specialized menus for $15 during lunch and $25 or $35 during dinner.
