ATLANTA -- The sun is up, but more than 100,000 Metro Atlantans are still in the dark after a strong line of storms tore through North Georgia Monday night and early Tuesday morning.

11Alive viewer, Robert Wojciechowski (@rwojo), took some amazing photos of the oncoming lightning storm from his south-facing condo in Midtown.  During an email conversation Tuesday morning, he said he took the pictures using a “Canon 5D Mark II with a 16-35mm f/2.8 at 18mm, somewhere around 4 to 8 second exposures at f/11.”

Shortly after taking the pictures he posted them on his online photo gallery.

The pictures were so nice that all of us at 11Alive thought he must have been a professional photographer.

“Not a pro,” Wojciechowski said of himself. “Just an expensive hobby!”
