RELATED: ATLANTA -- Now that many of the communities that put Sunday alcohol sales on the ballot have passed it, some of them are actually starting to implement the sales -- with some of them beginning this week.
In Metro Atlanta, Alpharetta, Dawsonville, Duluth, Griffin, Lawrenceville, Milton, Roswell, Senoia, Snellville, Sugar Hill and Suwanee all will begin Sunday sales during November.
Some other communities will begin in December, including Acworth, Cartersville, Covington, Doraville, Dunwoody, East Point, Fayetteville, Hoschton and Stone Mountain.
Decatur says they will begin on either November 22 or December 1; Kennesaw and Pine Lake say they will start in December or January.
Norcross says "one month after" the election, which would put implementation in early December. Sandy Springs and Flowery Branch say they will begin "upon certification," which puts their start date in November.
Most other areas that approved Sunday sales will begin allowing them on January 1.
